"We're from the Neighborhood Watch," Brice said. It was lame to say, he had to give a reason to put himself in control. "We want to question you about the shooting near Cody High School."
"What are you going to do, kill me if I don't?"
"No, I'm questioning everyone in the area." Brice wanted to keep Arcadio calm but it was too late with the knife involved. Shawn had come up on his left side, rolling the knife in his hand. Shawn waited for years to get Arcadio but this wasn't the time.
"See he doesn't like to get his hands dirty," Shawn said. "I'll kill you, if you just twitch. Answer every question he asks." He waved the wicked knife around.
"Do you know anything about the Tattle Tale gang doing a drive by on students?" Brice asked.
"I don't know anything about a gang. I'm visiting from Brazil and I'll be leaving soon," Arcadio said.
"Liar!" Brice snatched the knife from Shawn. Then he pressed it into Arcadio's chest causing a nick. "You've been up here overseeing the Tattle Tale for years."
Arcadio stepped into the knife. Brice pulled the knife away loosened his gripped.
"Put the handcuffs on him," Brice said. Shawn searched Brice's jeans pocket for them. Arcadio didn't remember him just another child he wanted to destroy.
"We're making a citizen's arrest for your connections with the death of my student Mario Simpson."
"You're not the cops," Arcadio yelled.
Arcadio squeezed Brice's hand with the knife trying to force him to slice it across his throat. "You're still a scare small boy, Briceee."
Brice forced it away. Then they played tug of war. Shawn wrestled with Arcadio from the back of him with his arm choking his neck.
