It was over, Brice thought. Jason had to die. He destroyed too many lives. Lt. Vinsetta twisted the door, glass fragments crashed to the floor. "You are all right."
Checking himself out, Brice hobbled to the door. "I'm ready to go after one more person."
"Who," Lt. Vinsetta asked as he helped him out the door way.
"Nachine Bautista," Brice said. "What about Vapor and PP?"
"Both going up the river," Lt. Vinsetta said. "I'm not hoping PP doesn't make it."
"First they both got to be prosecuted," DA Vaal squeezed himself between them. "I need evidence. Vapor informed on the Inheritance Corporation, naming only dead members."
"Take your turn tearing up my house," Brice said. "Search through my school papers. The book is there with all the information to put Jason's cronies away."
"Should've of given me this before," Vaal said gripping Brice's arm.
"Don't threaten me, I'm innocent," Brice said. He had been through with being fair. He focused his eyes on his path through the hallway, passing over the smeared blood in the floor.
Wilma ran up to him. "You need to go to the hospital."
"Why didn't you tell me you were under a heap of crap?" Brice asked. "A baby with Valerian."
"Don't judge me," Wilma said, slapping his face.
"I'm not judging," Brice whispered. "I'm going to destroy the Bautista. Are you okay with that?"
"Does it matter what I think?"
Brice continued down the hallway, Lt. Vinsetta followed. He headed for Tammi's office, pushing passed two teachers who stood in the door way to the Everett Building.
