How did you first become involved with the murder of Mario Simpson?
I was at the bus stop when he got shot.
Did you know the child who was murdered?
I used to see him around the neighborhood. We weren't friends. I grew up here. It was a good place to live until the neighbors kept changing. My mom couldn't get help from them anymore during her periods of layoffs. No one would lend us money or give us food. We ended up starving. I did what I had to do.
What was that?
I'm not ashamed of it, I sold drugs. The income took care of mom and me.
Do you see yourself as part of the problem in rebuilding this community?
Bullshit. If it wasn't for the drugs sold, this block wouldn't have a penny to spend in the suburbs.
Do you think drugs should be legalized?
No. Rich business owners will monopolize it and the poor won't be able to make a cent.
Has the police crackdown on the problems of shootings and drugs in the area?
Sometimes I think the cops are afraid of the gangs and drug dealers. That's not a good thing. A cop is more willing to kill to overcome his fear.
Who do you think kill Mario Simpson?
One of the Tattle Tale gang members did it. Their leader PP always shooting up the block to keep his turf.
